Alex Anderson is a character from A Dead Crow's Stare, a webtoon manhwa by N.Bob. Surviving zombies by leading a group of heavily armed men from a prison base, Alex would come across Yun Jinu. From how he was treated Alex would give him the chance to separate from the people he was with. Alex would leave behind those who he led and take Yun with him until he turned into a zombie having been bitten.
Background
Leading a faction
He grew up in an orphanage with dozens of other children. Despite the supposed benevolent intention of the institution it became a site of child labor exploitation. Consequently Alex could not have an education and started to work illegally in a warehouse from a young age.
With zombies having overrun the world Alex has become a de facto leader of men although he reminds someone not to call him 'captain', and is also against being addressed as 'sir'. A base has been established in a prison where zombies are kept contained. It is enough for him to calmly request an axe or a gun for someone to present the item he requires where he is content to walk around weaponless otherwise. He has his own philosophical rules that the rest of the people say that they are not even able to understand. Associating with the men likely for survival's sake Alex gave them no thought at all when he left the prison with just Jinu.
Wielding firefighter's axes Alex uses them in close quarters with zombies that he enjoys killing for fun. Alex is also proficient at launching the axe where he usually aims for the face. Collectively his tall physique, muscular build and combat experience helps him fend off multiple foes to sneak attacks should anyone draw a short sword. His demenour and developed habit of attacking first would assist him considerably on many occasions.
Characteristics
Asking Jinu if he wants to live
If he words are not enough Alex can use his axe for talking. He also uses one to throw near the feet of his own men should they say something he is against. Alex creates environments where others can do what would be expected. Placing them in a ring Alex watches bored as Jake beat Jinu. When the former announces his victory Alex shoots Jake in the leg as punishment. Alex never told them to fight but he will definitely let him live however the true goal of his is to empower Jinu by giving him what Alex calls chances.
Questioning whether Jinu thought he would not come back Alex asks if he does not look like a guy with a good heart. Checking if it is a group of zombies on the other side of a door Alex tells Jinu to not worry and please hold the equipment. Adding for Jinu to get behind him and not get in the way Alex enters the room and agrees with Jinu's assessment that the zombies attached to meat hooks is a repulsive scene. Angered that they are kids Alex intends to try to cover the bodies and hopes the person responsible is caught.
Habitually noticing matters before others do Jinu would wait until they figure it out. Noticing that Jinu had not turned and that his leg had healed Alex cautions Jinu against being caught by other people. Asking what Jinu is doing Alex picks up on him being startled at his question to the point he is unaware of the zombie he has noticed by Jinu's legs. Seeing the book concerning a refuge, when Jinu interjects that he was not trying to hide something Alex replies he does not care before questioning what Jinu wants to do. Taking into account Jinu's wishes Alex adds it would not be bad to stay in one place and rest so they seek out the refuge.
Told to hide by Jinu he asks what is wrong when armed people have been seen. Rather than avoid them and turn around as Jinu suggests Alex strolls out towards them. Ordered to stop, Alex raises his hands and questions what is wrong and why are they so nervous. Facially menacing them with questions of why they are whispering, Alex continues they should not fear him and to look he is not even armed. Disregarding their now amicable tone Alex turns to the matter of how they have got a lot of stuff there then promptly says for them to share a part of what they have. Registering that they are aware of his companion even though Jinu is hidden, Alex raises that the men are from the refuge. Having one question Alex uses the friendly conversation as a cover for him to throw his axe into Paul's head while Simon is midway through speaking how he is happy to answer any questions. As the react to this Alex has closed the distance to Simon where his gun is not practical against his axe. Stating he is mad Alex asks how they knew he had company. Wondering if they are going to give a pathetic excuse, Alex orders them to hurry and say before he does get mad.
With Jinu pinned by a dismembered zombie Alex tells him to save himself but passes a knife since that should be enough. After stamping on the zombie's head and with Jinu fairly distraught that he did not save him, Alex consoles Jinu and finds kissing does it best. While he tries that again in different circumstances of Jinu not reciprocating it, Alex is hit then seeks him out to say sorry. If Jinu does not like it he will not do it again. The attempts to encourage Jinu to defend himself went so far. For his ruthless and described as psychotic treatment of others Alex is remarkably considerate of Jinu both in physically defending him and paying mind to his feelings.

Progressing with Yun
Approaching Jinu he notices the Molkang bread and asks for it before claiming that the peach flavored type is the best. Asking pipsqueak Jinu if he has ever killed a zombie, Alex points his axe near Jake's face when he is being shouted at and tells him to shut up since he is in the middle of a chat right now. Wondering how Jinu survived when he has nor killed a zombie, it is Alex's first time seeing someone without a count.
Letting Jinu with Jake and Rob go Alex answers that he has to give them a splendid first experience. Entering the house Alex wonders where the last one is hiding. Locating him Alex states he gave Jinu a chance but he did not even take it before ascertaining whether he peed himself. Waiting for Jinu to wake up Alex hands him some pants but not before spreading his legs and checking his parts. Intrigued since it is the first pink one he has seen, Alex thought based on the color that it would be strawberry flavored. Putting his underwear on for him Alex then questions if Jinu is an adult when he does not know how to share portions properly, and even when he was given the chance to escape he did not take it.
Stopping Jinu from shooting himself Alex tells him it is not good to think about death and has lost the only chance he had. Not too bothered at Jinu running and opening the gate Alex asks someone for his other axe before asking where Jinu is. With it clear that Jinu cannot use a gun Alex states he has convinced him, he needs to take care of a child from the zombies. Noticing that Jinu has been bitten Alex decides until he turns into a zombie then Jinu will follow him. Impressed that Jinu tried to escape Alex then notes the smell so takes him to wash where they will shower together to save water. Dealing with a zombie and with Jinu wanting to go Alex says for him to do as he pleases but pays attention to his aroused state. Leaving Jinu to himself Alex monitors him as he tries to avoid zombies in the building then asks if he could not handle the situation.
Learning they have been followed Alex calls for Jinu to come over here. Without Jinu hearing, Alex says to Simon to start talking lies. The refuge is where Jinu wants to go to so Simon will guide them there and keep his mouth shut. Reaching the walled refuge Alex leaves Jinu to go out and check something. He is out again at night but manages to find Jinu in time as he is being strapped to a table by Carter. After cutting Carter's head off, with others arriving Alex kisses Jinu and tells him to stay right here, close his eyes and cover his ears. Regarding a noise Alex guesses it must be the thing he prepared. Not accepting Simon's offer of handing over the bombs he found and leaving the refuge Alex axes him instead. Kicking down a door to escape he takes Jinu by the hand and tells him to be careful not to get distracted.
